We always have to start off somewhere.

I've tried writing blogs in my lifetime. It starts off easy to do, but keeping them is the hardest part. I started blogging back when I was in sixth grade, and it didn't go so great. I tried again my freshman year of high school, along with my senior year. None of them seemed to work out as planned. With this blog, I hope to keep continued and share my life experiences with anyone who is interested.

To update currently, I leave for basic training for the National Guard on September 11th, 2013. Mixed emotions are running through my head. I'm anxious, scared, nervous, excited, determined, and of course motivated! This isn't going to be that bad, as long as I give 110% on everything I do. I want to get on with this chapter of my life because so much is going to go on after this event. I plan on finishing BCT in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, followed by AIT in Fort Lee, Virginia. After that, I head back home so I can be assigned my unit. After 3 months, I will be requesting a transfer from Wisconsin's National Guard to North Carolina's, where my Marine boyfriend; John, is residing. He wants me to get an apartment so he can see me on the weekends he has special liberty. I think this will all be achieved quick and painlessly!

I conclude with a quote.

"We both feel the love on the coldest of days, but my heart is in winter because I had to go away." - J.R.C.
